Donna Smith Arceneaux | 1976-2017
Just before midnight on October 23, 2017, the body of 40-year-old Donna Smith Arceneaux was found in her Franklinton, LA home with a fatal gunshot wound to her lower left breast. Nearly one year into the investigation, following reports from the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office confirming their conclusion was suicide, Arceneaux's official manner of death was released by Washington Parish Coroner Dr. Roger Casama in September 2018: HOMICIDE. In 2019, under pressure from Donna's family, her murder investigation was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Louisiana State Police. Donna's murder remains unsolved.
